Prepaid credit cards are becoming increasingly available, and the great thing about them is that it doesn’t matter if you have had financial problems in the past. Although known as ‘prepaid credit cards’ these latest cards are in reality a form of debit card. Choose from the UKs top credit card providers. All the top credit card offers updated daily on the best comparison sites.

Another plus of credit cards designed for those with bad credit is the fact that you actually receive a small line of credit that can be borrowed from ahead of time. Therefore, if you are in a tight financial situation, one of these credit cards may help you get through it.

Another option is the EntroPay Virtual Card . Load your EntroPay Virtual Card with funds from your personal credit or debit card and use it anywhere VISA is accepted online . When you’ve spent the funds, just load more.

To have an open account you must first have your credit approved but with prepayment cards the form filling is simple. There is a Web portal that offers companies, organizations, and individuals the opportunity to sign up their employees for what they call a ’social credit card account’. They say that each employee can open an account and create a simple profile, which links to local, regional, and global volunteer opportunities. The card is aimed at helping people strengthen and rebuild their credit history. One card offers credit of between $200 and $2,500, with no annual fee.

Another of these cards is the new Cashplus Prepaid Gold MasterCard which is a pay as you go card with 100% acceptance guaranteed, with no credit check or bank account required. Account holders can then either use the account for online purchases or send money to a third party via the mobile phone.

Visa Europe says that their prepayment service is very popular with the youth market and for gifts, and offers a variety of different ways to deliver real mobile payment services to their customers.

With a Splash Plastic prepaid card, you can pay for goods and services online, over the phone and in the shops with your Chip and PIN prepaid debit card. This is safe and secure provided you follow guidelines and you can shop all over the globe using the Splash Plastic prepaid card everywhere that Maestro is accepted.

Also, by using a prepaid card, a teenager will be able to learn to effectively manage their finances and improve their budgeting skills. These cards may be used to top-up mobile phones, pay for travel expenses or even to pay for the latest chart-topping CD or DVD.

Better to learn how to manage a credit card now, rather than when you’re an adult and the consequences of poor spending habits can affect you for a lifetime.

So, how do you help your teenagers become credit-card savvy?

Well, let your kids play in a credit card sand box where they cannot overspend. Get a prepaid Visa card, or prepaid MasterCard, or one of the many others on offer it’s your choice.

Teens spend round about $150 billion to $200 billion a year; there is no shock that banks are using affinity cards to infiltrate into young wallets. A prepaid debit card is more or less like a reusable check — purchases are deducted from the amount deposited onto the card. With a BuyRIGHT prepaid MasterCard , your checks can be automatically loaded on to your BuyRIGHT card. General purpose MasterCard prepaid cards can be used to pay bills or make purchases.

We are told that already 6.2 million consumers carried prepaid cards (in 2002), and that was expected to grow to over 40 million by 2008, the Pelorus Group stated. The Nilson Report said that prepaid cards will be a $71.5 billion market by the end of 2003, up 31% from the 2002 level.

The federal government’s Jump$tart survey of over 4,000 high school seniors revealed that 32% used credit cards and 43% had access to ATM machines. Yet the vast majority of teenagers do not understand how to compare credit cards in terms of fixed or variable Annual Percentage Rates, finance charges, grace periods and so forth.

Yet for debit card issuers and other market players, profit and success can be harder to come by and to quantify than in the credit realm. A half-dozen variable fees change hands behind the scenes of every debit transaction; merchants have grown increasingly litigious over interchange and discount rates; and issuers are struggling to maintain profits in order to fund highly desirable rewards programs. Before you start using a card, decide what it will be used for.

At CardEx, they offer complete in-house design through implementation. Whether your needs are prepaid debit card products, internet development, or a complete web solution, CardEx offers a complete one stop shop. Parents can co-sign for cards or have their children added to existing accounts. The benefit of sharing an account: Parents can have the bills sent to them to monitor monthly charges. In addition, we launched a card design competition allowing anyone to compete for great prizes and royalties on their designs. I have had the worst travel luck recently .Today, there are storms in NY so I’m on a train as we speak heading to D.C.

In theory, when you do apply for a full credit card, the one with the lowest interest rate and the highest credit limit is the best. High credit limits are not always the best choice for everyone though. The best bet is a bank or post office and if you carry an American Express card you may want to check them out as well. The reputable banks will offer you a good rate and will help explain the credit card billing and free grace period process to you if you are unfamiliar.

Remember that spending beyond a credit card limit is not free money – far from it! But, learn and take care to be responsible and you can benefit from all the advantages of convenient cashless sales through your credit facility.

Continue to our great web site for thoese seeking prepaid credit card information and selection.

Prepaid Credit Cards Disadvantages

For all the advantages that you are offered by using prepaid credit cards, there are some disadvantages you need to be aware of. In this article I will go over these, and this should help you make better decisions when using these cards.

When using prepaid credit cards online, it is important to be aware of where you are shopping. Some sites will scam you, and you may find yourself paying for products or services which you never receive. Shopping online with a prepaid credit card can put you at risk for these types of scams.

When you go out shopping, it is important to check the balance of your card to make sure you have enough to get what you’re buying. You don’t want to stand in a long line waiting to buy something just to get to the cashier and realize you don’t have enough money.

This will frustrate and humiliate you. One of the disadvantages to using prepaid credit cards is unlike cash, there is no way for you to look in your wallet to figure out how much you have to spend. It is important go online and check your balance and transactions.

Another disadvantage to using prepaid credit cards is that many places and shops do not accept them. This is especially true when traveling to other countries, which may have cash based societies. Small restaurants and shops in foreign countries may only accept the local currency.

Because of this, it is important to carry around small amounts of cash at all times when traveling. Another problem with prepaid credit cards is the potential for abuse by merchants. Many people have complained that when they make a purchase at a restaurant or store, the merchant takes out more money than they’re supposed to.

This doesn’t happen with cash, because when you pay with cash merchants aren’t allowed to have access to your account. The best way to avoid this is to only shop at reputable locations, and check your balance immediately after making transactions. Sometimes mistakes do happen, and it is important for you to catch them as soon as possible.

The last issue that could be a problem when using a prepaid credit card is not being able to access your own money. Some people are frustrated to find that they are not able to withdraw their money from ATM machines when they need it the most. While this doesn’t happen often, it is another good reason to carry some cash at all times.

The writer of this article is the webmaster of http://www.prepaid.offers-deals.com A Prepaid Credit Cards Website. On this website you can find information about prepaid credit cards and a list of vendors that sell these credit crads over the internet.
